This isn't a response to anyone in particular on my flist, or even a response to his death, I just hate when good people get a bad rap.

The thing about Michael Jackson is like...when he would hug kids? Or have kid friendly stuff, or putting blankets over his kids' heads, he was..he was doing what he thought was the right thing. He never had a childhood and he was trying to kind of relive his; he never really grew up right and the things he was doing were geniunely what he thought would make people happy. And people jumped on him for it.

That's why I try to defend him as much as possible. Bro automatically gets people jumping on him when he's just doing what he thinks is right, and isn't really harming anyone -- the child molestation case? He was let off, and the other woman in the room - I forget who, but it was some other celeb - she said that nothing happened. And I believe her. So yeah, he's not perfect, and his perception is a little messed up. He was still a geniunely talented, nice, well-meaning guy, and it's fucked that some people will only remember him for the 'child molestation'.

Rest in peace, Michael. You were really something.
